1. Parties and SentryHire’s role

Your training contract is with the organization identified as the training provider on the listing (“Provider”). SentryHire supplies marketplace, scheduling, checkout, records, and payment-routing technology. SentryHire is not the school, instructor, licensing agency, credential issuer, employer, insurer, or guarantor of any course or outcome. A SentryHire verification badge records a limited document review, not government approval or endorsement.

2. Eligibility and accurate information

You must be at least 18, use your own account, provide accurate enrollment information, and satisfy every prerequisite displayed by the Provider. You are responsible for confirming identity, age, guard-registration, pistol-license, language, attendance, equipment, and other eligibility requirements before payment. A Provider may lawfully deny admission or completion when prerequisites are not met; the displayed cancellation policy may still apply unless law requires otherwise.

3. Course information and credentials

The Provider is solely responsible for dates, instructors, facilities, content, approvals, accessibility, attendance records, examinations, certificates, and regulatory compliance. Completing a preparation course does not itself issue a government license or Certificate of Fitness. For New York mandated security-guard courses, users should confirm the school’s current approval with NYS DCJS. NYC fire guard employment requires the applicable FDNY Certificate of Fitness examination; a preparation course alone is not the certificate.

4. Price and service fee

Before checkout, SentryHire displays the Provider’s course price, SentryHire’s transaction service fee, and the total. Stripe processes the payment. SentryHire generally adds an 8% service fee, but the exact fee displayed and accepted at checkout controls. Taxes or Provider-required materials may be additional only when clearly disclosed and legally permitted. You authorize the displayed total and payment-related fraud checks.

5. Rescheduling

The listing states how many calendar days before class rescheduling closes and the maximum number of reschedules. A reschedule is effective only after the Service confirms the new available session. Provider policies captured at the original purchase remain attached to the booking. No alternative date, full session, exhausted limit, or late request does not create a right to reschedule.

6. Guard cancellations and no-shows

The listing states the percentage of the course price the Provider keeps for a guard cancellation or no-show. SentryHire does not permit that percentage to exceed 50%. The remaining course price is refunded through Stripe. Unless the listing or applicable law expressly says otherwise, SentryHire’s service fee is nonrefundable for a guard cancellation or no-show because marketplace and payment services were provided. Refund timing depends on Stripe and the original payment method.

7. Provider cancellation

If the Provider cancels the booked class and does not complete an accepted reschedule, SentryHire will initiate a refund of the course price and SentryHire service fee. A refund is the exclusive marketplace remedy for a canceled class except where law requires another remedy. The Provider, not SentryHire, is responsible for consequential travel, lodging, missed-work, equipment, or third-party costs.

8. Attendance, conduct, and safety

You must arrive on time, follow lawful safety and conduct instructions, avoid weapons unless expressly authorized for a regulated course and lawful at the site, and refrain from harassment, cheating, intoxication, disruption, or falsification. Providers may remove a participant for material safety or conduct violations. Any refund remains subject to the displayed policy and applicable law.

9. Check-in, certificates, disputes, and chargebacks

A QR or code check-in records arrival for the signed-in booking account but does not by itself establish attendance, examination performance, course completion, or government eligibility. Provider-issued SentryHire completion records include a public verification number and may be corrected or revoked; they are not government licenses, registrations, or FDNY Certificates of Fitness. First use the authenticated payment-support workflow or contact the Provider and support@sentryhire.com with the booking number and requested resolution. Do not file a false payment dispute. SentryHire may provide transaction, policy-acceptance, attendance, communication, refund, and certificate records to Stripe, financial institutions, regulators, or law enforcement as permitted by law. Nothing limits nonwaivable consumer rights.

9A. Employer-sponsored seats, discounts, and waitlists

An authorized employer may purchase one or more named seats. The employer is the payer; refunds return to its original payment method, and a participant has no right to receive the course value in cash. A provider discount reduces the displayed course amount only after validation and may have use or expiration limits. Joining a waitlist is free and does not reserve a seat. An offer may expire, and the first successfully confirmed payment receives an available seat. SentryHire may remove duplicate, abusive, or ineligible entries.

9B. Verified-attendee reviews

After Provider records completion, a guard may submit a firsthand review subject to moderation. Reviews must not include private information, threats, discrimination, knowingly false factual claims, conflicts of interest, or compensation not clearly disclosed. Attendance verification means only that the associated SentryHire booking was marked completed; it is not an endorsement of the opinion or Provider.

10. Incorporation and changes

The SentryHire Terms of Service, including disclaimers, limitations, dispute terms, and governing law, and the Privacy Policy are incorporated. The version accepted at checkout governs that booking. Material changes apply prospectively.
